Lycoming County Library System Announces 2026 Executive Board Leadership

Williamsport, PA – The Lycoming County Library System (LCLS) Board of Trustees has announced its 2026 Executive Board officers, reaffirming a unified commitment to serving residents across all six member libraries in Lycoming County.

The newly elected officers are:

  • Ben Brigandi, President – Member at Large
  • Christie Foresman, Vice President – Hughesville Area Public Library
  • Dennis Correll, Treasurer – Dr. W.B. Konkle Memorial Library
  • Diane Schneck, Secretary – Muncy Public Library

The Board also welcomes Mike Bender as the new representative for Montgomery Area Public Library, further strengthening system-wide collaboration and shared leadership.

Representing libraries from communities throughout the county, the Executive Board reflects a shared responsibility to strengthen public library services at a time when access to trusted information, educational resources, and community connection matters more than ever.

“This is a big time for all six county system libraries,” said Ben Brigandi, Board President. “We need each other – all librarians and all patrons. Let’s keep a great thing going.”

In 2025, over 221,000 visits were made to LCLS member libraries. Through free access to books, digital resources, technology, and programming, the Library System helped residents collectively save over $7 million-dollars in 2025, delivering measurable value to Lycoming County. Board leaders say that impact drives their work and their advocacy.

“Over 56,000 residents hold an active library card and utilize our libraries all over the county; knowing this impact is what gives me energy to serve as Trustee and Treasurer of the Lycoming County Library System Board,” said Dennis Correll. “I hope I can make a difference using my years of experience in our community to further the support of all the member libraries.”

Vice President Christie Foresman emphasized the essential role libraries play in daily life.

“I am proud to be part of the Lycoming County Library System,” Foresman said. “Our System libraries are serving Lycoming County residents of all ages with resources, socialization, and age-appropriate programming. Our libraries are community treasures.”

Through coordinated services, shared resources, and collective advocacy, the Lycoming County Library System works to ensure that every resident, regardless of location, has equitable access to learning opportunities, technology, and welcoming public spaces. The Board remains committed to strengthening partnerships and community support so that the Library System can continue meeting the evolving needs of Lycoming County.

The Lycoming County Library System includes Hughesville Area Public Library, James V. Brown Library (Williamsport), Jersey Shore Public Library, Dr. W.B.
