Williamsport, PA — The Lycoming County Library System (LCLS) is proud to announce its participation in Remake Learning Days 2026, a nationwide initiative celebrating hands-on, engaging learning experiences for youth and families. From April 30 through May 22, 2026, LCLS will host 27 unique events across its six member libraries, offering opportunities for creativity, exploration, and discovery throughout Lycoming County.
Remake Learning Days is a national movement designed to connect students, families, and communities through innovative educational experiences. In northcentral Pennsylvania, the initiative is supported by BLaST Intermediate Unit 17, which helps promote regional events and administer Mini-Grant funding to expand access to learning opportunities.
A highlight of this year’s programming is a system-wide shared event at the Community Theatre League featuring The Hobbit on May 3, offering an immersive literary and theatrical experience for ages 8 and up.
Across the county, participating libraries will offer a diverse lineup of programs designed to spark curiosity and learning, including:
- STEM and makerspace activities like Build a Bot, Dig Deep, and Code and Create
- Nature-based learning such as Bird Walks, Seed Bomb Science, and Motion in the Ocean
- Creative arts experiences including Pottery Painting, Story Quilt, and Art for All
- Family-friendly events like Family Innovation Day and Bunny Tales
“These programs are designed to bring learning to life,” said Amy C. Resh, Lycoming County Library System Administrator. “Remake Learning Days gives families the opportunity to explore new ideas together, discover community resources, and engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences that support lifelong learning.”
With events tailored for a wide range of ages, from preschool learners to teens and families, Remake Learning Days highlights the Library System’s ongoing commitment to educational access, creativity, and community engagement.
